For over half a century, Diakonia, has been committed to rebuilding lives on the Lower Shore through homeless mobile outreach, emergency shelter, food assistance, clothing vouchers, supportive services, and compassion.
We help individuals and families in crisis regain stability, one step at a time, with specialized programs to ensure that no US Veteran remains homeless. Diakonia's impact in Worcester, Wicomico, and Somerset Counties reaches over 5000 persons a year, in a geographic region that has the 2nd highest homeless population per capita in Maryland.
